India’s No first Use policy farce: FO

ISLAMABAD :(Parliament Times)  Foreign Office (FO) has stated on Friday that Indian policy of No First Use (NFU) is a farce.

Spokesperson for the FO, Nafees Zakaria branded statement of Indian DefenceMinister dangerous for international peace.

In his weekly press briefing, he said that three-state conference of Pakistan, China and Russia will take place in Moscow in December. Zakaria said that terrorism was a bigger international challenge and Pakistan lost around 70,000 lives in war on terror.

The spokesperson said that India was constantly violating ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC) and that statement of Indian minister was an example of double standards in matters.

Aggressive moves of India on different fronts were a threat for regional and transnational peace, he said.

No First Use policy determines a state s stance of not using nuclear technology to bombard any other state unless she is targeted first.
