ISLAMABAD :(Parliament Times) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday on a two days official visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif among others welcomed the President of Turkey and the first lady.
The Turkish President is accompanied by a delegation of his ministers, advisorsand business personalities. During his visit, the Turkish president will address a joint-session of the parliament and a one-day visit to Lahore is also scheduled.
The Turkish President will convene separate meetings with his counterpart Mamnoon Hussain and the premier during his visit. Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss Pak-Turk relations, regional and world scenarios and other matters of mutual importance.
Erdogan has reached the President House to attend a dinner hosted by Mamnoon Hussain.
In addition to this, Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab will also arrange a banquet for respectable guests at Lahore Fort.
Foreign Office stated that the Turkish president’s visit is to further strengthen the cordial relationships that the two countries share and that Turkey has always supported Pakistan over issues like Kashmir and other strategic matters.
