Hague: (Parliament Times)Â The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has called upon international community to take serious notice of deteriorating human rights situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a conference titled “Solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir†in The Hague, Holland today he urged peace loving countries to exert pressure on India to stop massive human rights violations in held valley.
AJK Prime Minister said that durable peace could not be established in South Asia without resolving the longstanding Kashmir issue. He said that India has usurped the fundamental rights of Kashmiris through state terrorism but it has miserably failed to suppress the indigenous Kashmir liberation movement. Raja Farooq Haider expressed resolve that Kashmiris would continue their just struggle till the attainment of their internationally recognize right to self determination.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider said, India cannot defeat daring people of Jammu and Kashmir as they have strong  to achieve their legitimate right to self-determination accordance with United Nations resolutions.
The Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Senior Minister Ch Tariq Farooq and MLA Raja Javed Iqbal were invited by Kashmir Council EU for participation in Kashmir EU-Week at European Parliament. The conference in Hague was also addressed by Chairman Kashmir Council EU (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed, President Kashmir Peace Council Raja Zeb Khan, Pastor Father Arik Sarwar and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Netherland Ms Effat Imran Gardezi. A large number of people attended the conference. AJK’s PM said, he attended various programs in connection with Kashmir EU-Week organized by KC-EU at EU parliament Brussels in last three-four days. According to him, his meetings with members of EU parliament and officials of EU commission were effective as he hopes such events  would have positive results in the context of international awareness on Kashmir issue.
AJK’s PM appreciated efforts rendered by Kashmir Council EU under chairmanship Mr Ali Raza Syed on Kashmir issue in Europe. A documentary film was also displayed during the Holland’s conference. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said, Indian authorities want to continue their repressive rule over Kashmir but they cannot hold Kashmir for a long time. He also mentioned martyrdom of a number of Kashmiri youth and blindness of the hundreds of the people in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK). President Kashmir Peace Council Raja Zeb Khan said, we have to speedup struggle on Kashmir in Europe. He added that we are working in the context in coordination with Kashmir Council EU. He asked that world influential powers should stop atrocities against the Kashmiris and play their role for just solution of Kashmir dispute.
