Minhas praises education quality of Muhammadun College


Hajira: (Parliament Times) AJK Minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has praised Muhammadun Science College for imparting quality education to its students.

Addressing as Chief Guest at Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony and Parents Day function of the college, he said that the college founded by a selfless and sincere individual, Ashiq Shaheed has made a name for itself because of its quality of education.  The Minister said self-confidence and   enthusiasm shown by the students of college amply demonstrates that they are capable to compete any big school system like Beacon House.

The function was chaired by Chairman Muhammadun Education System, Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan while principal of the college, Dr Tariq Mahmood and Managing Director, Tariq Minhas also addressed on the occasion.

Paying tributes to the founder of the college Ashid Shaheed, Minister said entire region is benefitting from the educational institution that has established its own identity in the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He urged state-run schools and colleges to follow the example of this college and show the similar performance.

While praising the dedication and devotion of the teaching staff of the college, Mushtaq Minhas said government will fully patronize such institutions of high standard. He announced that he recommend to Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan to name Hajira- Dawarandi Road after the name Ashiq Shaheed who dedicated his entire life to promote education in the area.

About PML-N government, Mushtaq Minhas said it was for the first time a government in Azad Kashmir is taking practical steps to address health and education problems on priority. He said AJK government under the leadership of Prime Minister Farooq Haider is endeavoring its best to achieve self reliance by exploring new avenues of income and by observing austerity and adopting strict financial control.

The Minister urged Muslim Conference President Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan to postpone LoC crossing call and advised him to something that could strengthen freedom struggle inside occupied Kashmir. He added that we should avoid any step that affect the freedom struggle negatively.

He said we should not create problems for Pakistan as we believe that a strong, prosperous and democratic Pakistan is not dream of Kashmiri people but is imperative for the success of Kashmir’s struggle for right to self determination.

Meanwhile, Minister Information, Mushtaq Minhas has expressed his deep grief over the death of Moulana Abdul Rauf of Thub Bagh and prayed that Almighty Allah grant him highest place in Jannah. He also condoled with the bereaved family.
