AJK PM gives award to KC-EU head for projecting Kashmir movement
Brussels:Â Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (EU) Mr Ali Raza Syed has received a special award from Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan for his tireless struggle on Kashmir cause in Europe.
The award was handed over to him by the Prime Minister in a gathering in connection with Kashmir EU-Week at European Parliament in Brussels. The conference was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life including experts, intellectuals, political and social figures and media persons.
Receiving the award, Mr Ali Raza Syed expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir for giving him the award and said, it is a good gesture that PM recognizes the services of Kashmir Council EU. He said, he dedicate this award to everybody who honestly rendered his/her services to Kashmir cause.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU said, people of Kashmir should be allowed to determine their own political future in a free atmosphere as it is basic democratic right. Regarding resolution of Kashmir issue, Chairman Kashmir Council EU further said, no solution that excludes the active participation and engagement of the Kashmiri people themselves can be ether legitimate or sustainable.
