AJK PM calls on President, discusses LOC situation


MUZAFFARABAD: AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan calls on President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan and discussed with him the situation arising out of the Indian shelling at Line of Control. Both the leaders also discussed prevailing situation in Occupied Kashmir and overall political situation in Azad Kashmir. The President expressed his grave concern over the loss of lives due to Indian shelling at Nakyal sector of AJK and said that India cannot prevent Pakistan from its efforts to internationalize Kashmir issue through its sustained diplomatic campaign. He said that India is violating international law by targeting civilian population at Line of Control and ceasefire line agreement signed with Pakistan in the past. He said that it is responsibility of United Nation and International community to take notice of unprovoked Indian shelling and hold India accountable for its crimes being committed in Occupied Kashmir. The Prime Minister on occasion assured that government will take all possible measures to protect lives and properties of the people living along the Line of Control. Both President and Prime Minister also showed their deep concern on severe shortage of food and medicine in different towns and cities of occupied Kashmir due to down to dusk curfew in the held territory.  The President and Prime Minister called upon United Nations and human rights organizations of the world to establish a humanitarian corridor in the occupied Kashmir to send food and medicines to the besieged population in the held territory.
