ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) – Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has on Thursday said that there was no ‘umpire’ above Supreme Court of Pakistan. Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should return to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reported Dunya News.
As the political bickering continued outside Supreme Court, the ministers continued to take jibes at Imran Khan. However, Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq continued to advise seriousness.
Khawaja Asif said on the occasion that there was no umpire above SC and that all the parties to the case should trust the proceedings.
Khawaja Saad Rafique advised Imran Khan to return to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) instead of protesting in Islamabad.
JI chief said that corruption was a serious issue. He demanded a sitting judge of Supreme Court to head the commission.
Despite all the political differences, all the petitioners and parties to the conflict agree that the court’s decision will be accepted, whatever it may be.
