AJK PM vows to provide people amenities of life on their door steps

Muzaffarabad: AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the government is taking all necessary steps to provide basic amenities of life to the people at their door step and is determined to take all measures to raise standard of living of the people.

The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to people from different walks life during an open Katehcary here on Wednesday. He said Kashmir Liberation Struggle, good governance through the rule of law and merit and masses prosperity were the priorities of his government.

Saying that AJK has peculiarly hilly terrain where people face numerous problems, the Prime Minister said government is not oblivious of the hardships being faced by the people. The ruling party, he added will fulfill all the promises made with the people and sought cooperation of the people to implement party’s manifesto in letter and spirit.

The government is focusing on the development of tourism and hydropower generation sectors besides the improvement of basic infrastructure, health and education to create new employment opportunities and to stabilize the economy of the state, the PM added. He said government is striving to bring tangible changes in lives of people under a well thought-out strategy.

The AJK Prime Minister further said that assigned tasks to the members of his cabinet and intervene when some wrongdoing is brought in his notice. He said all are equal in the eyes of law and no one is above the law regardless of his/her position or influence.

Earlier responding to a call attention notice of the members of AJK Legislative Assembly, Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that rights of residents of Mirpur city were trampled in the past and this practice will not be allowed to continue.

He said his government is determined to investigate alleged corruption in Mirpur Development Authority to bring the culprits to justice. He said that government will provide justice to those who were cheated by the successive governments by carrying out the physical audit of the all development projects in Mirpur.
