India to get strong retaliation if war imposed on Pakistan: Barjees

Quetta:  Tens of thousands of Kashmiris have been martyred, over 50, 000 women rendered as widows and more than 200,000 children as orphans in their struggle to achieve the right to self determination.
This was stated by Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs, Chaudhry Barjees while addressing a seminar on Kashmir organized by Mother Teresa Memorial Society here on Friday.

He said that around 800,000 Indian army is deployed in Occupied Kashmir to crush the voice of Kashmiri people for their legitimate rights. The Indian army and para-military forces have been given unbridled powers under draconian laws to kill the people in the held territory.

He said political leadership and unarmed people are being arrested and put behind the bars for years without trial. This is blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolutions passed time to time on Kashmir issue.

He said around 100 people have died and fifteen thousand others wounded five hundred lost their eyesight in recent spree of violence in the held valley. The India, he added is using lethal weapons like pellet guns against the peaceful protesters.

He said elected government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has adopted an unambiguous stance on Kashmir demanding the settlement of Kashmir dispute by holding the plebiscite under relevant UN resolutions. He said that international community particularly UN should wakeup from the slumber and help resolve Kashmir issue.

He said that India must realize that she will get strong response from Pakistan if war is imposed on the country. Our armed forces fully are prepared to defend every inch of the country, he asserted.
