Pakistan under a well thought-out strategy is taking concrete steps to attract international attention on the gross human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir and for projecting Kashmir issue in its real perspective. These views were expressed by AJK President, Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan and other speakers while addressing an Azadi-e-Kashmir Conference at Mang in district Poonch.
The conference was addressed besides others by Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and JUI (F) Chief, Moulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, former AJK President, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Leader of Opposition in AJK Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, JI- AJK Chief, Abdul Rashid Turrabi and leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK president Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took a number of initiatives starting from his UN General Assembly speech to sending specials envoys to 22 important capitals, convening All Parties Conference of parliamentary parties and holding joint session of the parliament.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan in consultation with AJK government and Kashmiri leadership launched ‘Mission-e-Kashmir campaign to highlight recent wave of barbarism being committed in Occupied Kashmir Valley. The AJK president expressed his hope that collective efforts being made by Pakistan government and the AJK will bear fruits and people of Jammu and Kashmir will see the dawn of freedom soon.
He said that India after failing to paint the librarian struggle of Kashmir as terrorism orchestrated the drama of Uri attack and started shelling on AJK civil population from across the line of control in desperation. Terming rejection of baseless Indian allegations against Pakistan by the US states department as major diplomatic breakthrough of Pakistan, President said that his meetings with the US official during his stay in US have started yielding positive results. He urged the people of Azad Kashmir to continue their whole- hearted support to the struggling people of Kashmir.
JUI Chief and Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Moulana Fazal-ur- Rehman said that government of Pakistan is taking all the Kashmir specific steps in the light of the recommendation of Parliamentary Kashmir Committee. He said that this purpose of this conference is to create awareness among the AJK masses about their responsibilities towards Kashmir liberation struggle and to express solidarity with them and boost their morale.
He warned that provocative acts at Line of Control by India could lead to disastrous consequences for India. Other speakers also warned India to stop war mongering and give Kashmiris their legitimate right to self determination to avert another Pakistan within the geographical boundaries of India.    Â
