18 candidates for NA-257, 36 candidates for PB-2 submitted nomination papers

ZHOB: The deadline given by the Election Commission of Pakistan for submission nomination papers ended on Monday, the returning officers completed the process of receiving nomination forms from independent and ticket-holders candidates of different political parties. On Tuesday the scrutiny process started to exclude the ineligible candidates from contesting the polls. After scrutinizing process the nomination papers, appeals against decisions by returning officers can be filed till June 19. The appeal tribunals will wind up requests by June 26 and a day later, on June 27, candidates’ list would be displayed again. The candidates will then have time until June 28, to withdraw their nomination papers, after which a new list having election symbols would be issued on June 29.
A total of 18 nomination papers have been filed for single National Assembly seat (Zhob-cum-Killa Saifullah-cu-Sherani). The candidates for the seat are including Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail (PML-Q), Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai (Pk-MAP), Maulana Abdul Wassay (JUI-F), Maulana Abdul Rauf (JUI-N), Molavi Abdullah (JI), Molavi Najm-ud-Din (JUI-S), Amanullah (ANP), Sheikh Muhammad Nawaz Mandokhail (PTI), Atta Muhammad (BAP), Sheikh Abdul Sattar Mandokhail, Sheikh Muhammad Ayaz Mandokhail, Dr. Nawaz Kibzai, Allama Muhammad Nasim Babar, Sheikh Imran Babar (PPP) and Ain-ud-Din, while 36 candidates have submitted their papers for the provincial assembly seat PB-2 are including Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail (PML-Q), Raza Muhammad Raza (Pk-MAP), Mufti Gulab Kakar (JUI-F), Muhammad Khan Kibzai, Abdul Qayyum Adv, Anwer Mandokhail (ANP), Jamal Shah Kakar (PML-N), Samad Khan (PTI), Molavi Amanullah Mandokhail (JI), Shahbaz Khan Mandokhail (BAP), Hameed Mardanzai (JUI-N), Allama Nasim Babar, Qazi Ahmed Khwasti, Sheikh Ayaz Mandokhail, Mutha Khan Kakar, Muhammad Nawaz, Dawood Khan Mandokhail, Shah Zaman, Murad Ali, Mehmood Khan Mandokhail, Bibi Jamila, Sheikh Abdul Sattar Mandokhail, Zafarullah Mardanzai, Suhrab Khan Kakar, Sardar Anwer Jan Kibzai, Muhammad Aslam Mandokhail, Noor-ul-Amin Gandapur, Sardar Amirullah Kakar, Abdul Rahim Mandokhail, Abdul Rahim Kibzai, Rehmatullah Safi, Abdullah Khan Kakar, Saif-ur-Rehman Mardanzai, Baz Khan Babar and Samad Khan Mandokhail.
Each candidate has submitted an affidavit under Article 62, 63 along with the nomination papers that includes details about holding foreign passport, dual nationality and any criminal case against the candidate.
