SDMA to build earthquake memorial hall in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) will setup Earthquake Memorial Hall at Khurshid National Library in Muzaffarabad.

A meeting chaired Secretary SDMA Zaheeruddin Qureshi reviewed the progress in this regard and decided that pictures and other material related to October 8earthquakes would be displayed in the memorial hall. Secretary SDMA addressing the meeting said that no one could forget the devastations of deadliest earthquake 2005 when the quake took lives of thousands of people in just a few seconds.

To preserve the memories of that earthquake it had been decided to set up a earthquake memorial hall which can have a historic significance. He asked the people to bring audios, videos or other stuff regarding the quake 2005 to Khurshid National Library if they have it so that it is made part of the record.
