Minhas vows to revitalize Press Information Department

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The AJK Minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has said that Press and Information Department of the state is being equipped with state of the art technology. Addressing send off ceremony hosted in honour of outgoing Secretary Information Syed Zahoor-ul-Hussan Gillani here on Wednesday, he said that Press Information Department is the face of the government; improvements are being made for its effective functioning. AJK Information Minister urged employees to discharge their duties with more professional approach and commitment. He said that all the genuine issues of the department would be addressed at priority.
The Minister said Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will announce a big development package during his visit to Muzaffarabad, which he said great achievement of present government in Azad Kashmir. He added that government will spare no effort to come up to the expectations of people by ensuring that people have say and participation in the affairs of the government. The Information Minister Further said that state government is determined to take the media along with it by addressing the problems being faced by the journalists while discharging their professional responsibilities. Addressing on the occasion former Secretary Information, Syed Zahoor-ul- Hussan Gillani said officers and employees of the Information Department are playing best role within limited resources. He said addressing the issue of understaffing in the department is need of hour. Secretary Information Mansoor Qadir Dar assured that department will be provided all the requisite facilities and paraphernilia to ensure proper functioning the department.
