Lahore: A representative delegation of industrialists led by Senator Ilyas Billaur called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
During the meeting, different matters including solution of problems being faced by the industrial sector and promotion of trade and investment came under discussion.
The delegation paid tributes to Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for adopting unprecedented steps for welfare of the people in the province.
They said that wonderful work has been done under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif in the province and now even the people of Peshawar say that we need a chief minister like Shehbaz Sharif.
You have made Lahore and the whole of Punjab fully developed with your hard work. They said that metro bus project has been started in Peshawar after four and a half year and if these people did not indulge in sit-ins and instead served the masses, the KPK would have been developed like Punjab. The delegation thanked Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his assurance to solve their problems and invited him to visit Peshawar. The Chief Minister congratulated Ghazanfar Billaur upon becoming President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and said that industrial growth plays an important role in provision of employment as it
helps to generate more and more opportunities of jobs.
He said that federal government will be approached for the solution of the problems of the industrialists and the problems being faced by it with regard to increase in exports will also be solved.
He said that transparency and speedy completion of development projects in the province is our hallmark and he is always available to serve the masses. I have selflessly served the people of the province during the last four and a half year and I am of the
view that other provinces should also make speedy progress. Pakistan belongs to all of us and we collectively have to work for its prosperity because the progress of four provinces will make Pakistan prosperous.
President of FPCCI Ghazanfar Billaur, former President S.M. Munir and former Presidents of KPCCI Haji Muhammad Afzal, Riaz Arshad, Malik Niaz and Executive Committee Member of KPCCI Gul Khan were included in the delegation.
