Islamabad: Team of national corruption watchdog, NAB has reached back after verifying proofs of Sharif family’s corrupt practices from British officials and the Bureau decided to file supplementary reference this week.
Officials of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headed by Director General (DG) NAB, Zahir Shah reached London and verified new and old proofs from British officials and supplementary references would be filed in accountability court of Rawalpindi in light of these proofs.
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Capt. (R) Safdar and others have been declared accused in Aven Field and Flagship corruption references.
Sources told that British government fully cooperated with NAB team and provided all the available information along with documentary proofs of property owned by Nawaz Sharif’s family in London. Nawaz Sharif has been accused of illegally transferring national wealth to London through money laundering and purchased billions of dollars properties there.
Nawaz disclosed that these properties had been gifted by Qatari prince against his services without mentioning nature of services he had provided to Qatari prince. Sources in NAB told that the Bureau facing difficulty in filing references in absence of Prosecutor General (PG) as government creating hurdles in appointment of Prosecutor General who would be appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
NAB sources, further added that Attorney General had pledged before Supreme Court (SC) to appoint PG in three days.
