Islamabad: As many as three illegal educational institutions operating in federal capital are said to be awarding fake degrees to the students by charging heavy fees.
According to media reports around three illegal education institutions running in Islamabad, are extorting millions of rupees from the students in the name of higher education.
According to official documents that Islamabad Law College are violating the law, while they are also distributing fake degrees among the students and receiving hefty amount from students. The Modern Institute of Informatics and Management and Islamabad Campus of Mohi-uddin Islamic University are also extorting hefty amount under the name of higher education and doing fraud with the students.According to reliable sources, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MNA and parliamentary secretary Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal is Executive Member of Board of Governor Modern Institute of Informatics and Management.An official associated with Higher Education Commission confirmed that the three illegal education institutions are distributing fake degrees. The education institutions have also been informed several times that they are violating the rules of HEC, however, they are not ready to stop the fraud business.HEC Spokesperson Ayesha informed that the degrees of three education institutions are being verified by the HEC. She further said that institutions have also been blacklisted, while only the government has the powers to close-down any education institution.
