Lahore: Deputy Chairman Senate and Secretary General Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri along with a party delegation on Monday paid a visit to Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) headquarters Markaz Al-Qadsia.
The delegation consisted of Deputy Secretary General JUI (F) Moulana Amjad Khan, four provisional head and other deputies during their visit had an hour long meeting with JuD leaders. Besides Deputy Chairaman Senate Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Professor Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki the meeting was attended by Moulana Ameer Hamza, Moulana Muhammad Amjid Khan, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Rashid Soomro, Moulana Aslam Ghouri, Moulana Saifullah Khalid, Shams ul Rehman Shamsi, Hafiz Muhammad Masood, Malik Sikandar Advocate, Sheikh Abdul Saboor, Moulana Salahuddin Of Balochistan, Moulana Shuja ul Malik, Yahya Mujahid, Hafiz Khalid Waleed, Choudhry Abu Bakar, Syed Abdul Waheed Shah and others.
Later on, leaders of Jamiat Ulema Islam JUI(F) and Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) held a joint press conference wherein they announced to initiate a nationwide campaign to express complete solidarity with Kashmiri brethren besides blocking the attempts to secularize Pakistan. Conspiracy hatched to dent the ideology of Pakistan they said would be foiled at any cost saying that unity and discipline among the religious factions of the country was indispensable at this juncture. They said that the issue of Kashmir was not a matter of survival for any single party or group of the country but the issue was deemed by the nation’s father as the country’s jaguar vein. They said, “Any solution to the issue imposed upon the Kashmiris against their will and wishes will be rejected.†They strongly condemned the detention of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and his allies. They said that their detention has weakened the Kashmir freedom struggle, demanding their immediate release.
Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said, “External forces want to end the Islamic status of Pakistan. All religious organizations should be united on one platform so that the way of secular forces of Pakistan can be stopped.†He said that combined struggle regarding Kashmir issue, protection of Haramain Sharifain and to stop secularism is need of the time.
Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki said, “Unity of religious organizations for protection of Pakistan’s ideology, restoration of Islamic status and to highlight Kashmir, is need of the time. To unite Ummah and create unity among religious organizations is a great purpose. JuD appreciates these effortsâ€.
